Throughout the shoot, I regularly stop and show clients the back of my camera. The initial reaction is almost always a mix of surprise and relief: “Wow, I didn’t know I could look like that!” or “This looks way better than I thought it would.”

More importantly, showing the results in real time gives us a chance to collaborate. If a client feels their smile looks forced or a stray hair is out of place, we can see it immediately, adjust the pose, and shoot until they are completely satisfied. No guessing games, and no disappointing surprises when the final gallery arrives.

The Secret to Long-Term Visual Continuity

The true test of a corporate photographer isn't just the first shoot; it's what happens six months down the road when the company hires a new employee.

Hoyer Law had a specific requirement: they wanted their team headshots placed onto a custom, uniform digital backdrop for marketing purposes. To pull this off seamlessly, I meticulously documented my exact lighting ratios, camera height, and lens settings from the initial session.

Furthermore, the custom background assets are saved and locked into a dedicated Canva workflow. When Hoyer Law adds a new attorney to the firm next month or next year, that person can simply visit my Draper studio. Using the exact same technical blueprint, I can capture a matching headshot, drop it onto the saved background, and deliver a portrait that fits into the existing team gallery flawlessly.
